This month’s Drink SF Beer shuttle route includes a hop over to Portola-based Old Bus Tavern (3193 Mission St.), bringing a full-restaurant option to the Bayview Line in addition to fulfilling the role of July’s official Meet the Brewers host.

But, of course, it’s about the beer, and Old Bus has earned its laurels. In short order after opening two years ago, a creative list of favorites emerged showing head brewer Bennet Buchanan‘s range: Lemon Basil Saison featuring Meyer lemon zest and frech basil; Into the Mild, a classic English Mild and lovely low ABV option; and Chile Porter with both roasted and fresh Poblanos (mild heat and fruitiness, respectively) plus cocoa nibs for chocolatey richness.

We can’t guarantee each of these yummy brews will be pouring the night our shuttles will be looping nonstop between Old Bus and these Bayview breweries — Ferment.Drink.Repeat, Laughing Monk Brewing Co., Seven Stills Brewery & Distillery and Barebottle Brewing Co. — but let’s hope.
