As September approached last year, best friends Ed Gabbo, Jon Verna and Eric Tisch realized their dream and launched Harmonic Brewing, one of the new members of the San Francisco Brewers Guild and of the emerging Dogpatch neighborhood.

This May, Harmonic takes its turn hosting the Guild’s monthly Meet the Brewers night, Wednesday, May 18, at 6pm. As Gobbo puts it, their goal is to be the local place. Their beer philosophy is to produce quality yet approachable beer, well balanced and easily enjoyed for a neighborhood it is entirely focused on serving.

True to that vision, Harmonic will be offering up a dozen fresh, straight-ahead styles that not only demonstrate their penchant for producing highly drinkable brews but the complete flavor range beer itself has to offer. Review their taplist to appreciate the diversity — from a dry Kölsch to rich stout, from farmhouse sour to hoppy or fruity ales. There will be music by Dogpatch DJs and Casey’s Pizza truck parked outside, to complement these great beers as well.

Then at 7pm, the City’s first free “hop on, hop off” Drink SF Beer shuttle will kick in, running the Dogpatch / Mission Bay Line, which looping between:

Harmonic Brewing,
Magnolia Brewing at Smokestack,
Triple Voodoo Brewery,
Anchor Brewing at The Yard, and
Speakeasy Brewing Co.

…then back to Harmonic to start again. Shuttles runs nonstop from 7-11:35pm, and stop at each venue every 15-20 minutes, making it easy to check out these great neighborhood spots. Put the complete schedule, including route details, in your pocket at drinksfbeer.com
