SF-Brewing-Co-LogoToday we’re pleased to welcome the San Francisco Brewing Company to the SF Brewers Guild as our 18th member. After an extensive obsession with homebrewing, founder Josh Leavy established the company in 2012. He’s currently contract brewing in the Bay Area while developing a plan to build his own brewery in the city.

Leavy is a San Francisco native who was inspired during college to brew on his kitchen stove. As his passion for beer and the creative process grew, so did his equipment and desire to launch a brewery. Over the years Leavy developed recipes and shared the results with family and friends.

Those occasions had a big impact. Not only on his confidence, but they also shaped his vision for San Francisco Brewing Company, which Leavy said is “dedicated to creating delicious and easy to drink beer that brings people together to celebrate their special moments.”

San Francisco Brewing’s first two beers, Alcatraz Amber and Marina Honey Blonde, are being exclusively distributed in San Francisco. You can learn more about the brewery, keep tabs on new seasonal beers, or find them at upcoming events by visiting the San Francisco Brewing Company website or following them on Facebook and Twitter.
