The SF Beer Week Events Schedule is open for your early planning and plotting pleasure! And tickets for the SF Beer Week Opening Gala2018’s edition of the industry’s kick-off extravaganza, are now on sale!

The Opening Gala is set for Friday, February 9, on the SF waterfront at Pier 35. Get tickets here.

The Gala is known for rare beers and unique multi-brewery collaborations as well as first tastes from brand new breweries. It’s also where SF Beer Week kicks off with the SF Bay Area’s annual toast to beer community. Once again, the beer community will convene from around the Bay region and from afar, meeting the area’s new brewers, seeing old friends and sipping never-before-tasted beers alongside old favorites.

Are you an early bird? There’s lots of room at Pier 35, but if you are interested in special access, scope out the VIP tickets for early entry privileges, plus some collector swag.

The launch of this year’s SF Beer Week Schedule offers the first glimpse of favorite events coming back in 2018, including some February traditions that are older than the official Beer Week itself.  It also promises another of the joys of Beer Week, with newer places putting out an invitation for the world to discover them.

As you explore the schedule, you’ll notice several of the oldest Beer Week traditions – The Bistro’s 17th Annual Double IPA Festival and the Celebrator Beer News’ 30th Anniversary Party benefit for the California Craft Brewers Association – are already on the calendar.

The venerable Sour Sunday is back at Jupiter and Triple Rock, but other days are claiming beer-style names, too, like Munich Monday at Black Hammer Brewing.

You’ll also find the reprise of more recent traditions, such as tasty food events – from Fort Point’s popular Dim Sum Beer Brunch to Tartine teacakes with barrel-aged beers at Local Brewing to Henhouse Brewing‘s annual Big Chicken brew presented with a chicken dinner at Hog’s Apothecary (link).

You’ll see that you’ve been invited to brewery anniversary parties at Triple Voodoo Brewery (link) and newcomer Blue Oak Brewing (link).

Neighborhood events are beginning to come together, too. You may notice a Valentine’s Day Beerwalk around downtown Campbell in search of five craft stouts paired with five local confections, one of the first of many Valentines and chocolate events that are sure to follow around the region. Science fans will find an evening of museum-sipping at the SF Academy of Sciences (link) and a beer Nerd Nite presentation at The Good Hop in Oakland.

It’s already easy to discover unexpected adventure on the schedule – but there’s much more to come!

And the SF Beer Week Schedule will continue to grow as intriguing beer-centric events populate the calendar through December and January, including the addition of craft beer events as far south as Monterey County as well as north into the Napa-Sonoma beer country.
