Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is again brewing and selling beer! Though the tap room remains closed as the company awaits new ownership (read about the brewery’s future), eight employees are working hard to keep the beer flowing and on tap at bars and restaurants. As a result, Speakeasy’s first new beer of 2017, Murky Business APA, has been released!

Join the Speakeasy team for a Murky Business APA Release Party this Thursday, March 30, at City Beer Store. The beer will start pouring at 6pm and staff from the brewery will be on hand to talk about Murky Business APA, and anything else you would like to know about the brewery. We would love to meet and thank all of the dedicated Speakeasy fans that have shared their love and support during this transition.

Murky Business APA is not your father’s malty American Pale Ale. The almighty hop takes center stage with a big juicy punch of tropical fruit. Notes of pineapple, grapefruit, papaya, and lychee dominate the beer’s aroma and flavor. A small amount of white wheat and flaked oats were added to give the beer some body, while a touch of rye and Maris Otter provide a hint of spice and lightly toasted malt. Straw to pale gold in color, Murky Business APA is dry with no caramel sweetness, and finished at 5.3% alcohol by volume.

Follow Speakeasy Ales & Lagers on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for future updates about the brewery. In the meantime, the crew hopes to see many of you at City Beer Store this week.
